The Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst) has started sending letters about the “Opgaaf Werkelijk Rendement” (“OWR”, Declaration of Actual Return). The filing period for submitting the declaration of actual return commences on the date you receive the letter for the relevant year. If your tax return was filed by a tax consultant (including Riverlane), the filing period is 26 weeks; if you filed the return yourself, the filing period is 12 weeks. To avoid missing the deadline, please send us a copy of the relevant letter.
We can submit the actual return to the Tax Administration on your behalf. For that, we need (as applicable) the following information:
- An overview of interest received on bank and savings accounts
- An overview of income received from investments (shares, bonds, options, and crypto assets)
- An overview of deposits and withdrawals during the year relating to investments, including: o shares o bonds o options o crypto assets
- The value development of your assets
- Rental income from property(ies) in the Netherlands and/or abroad
- Your share of interest received or paid within the homeowners’ association (VvE)
- Interest received on receivables
- Interest paid on debts
- Copies of tax returns and tax assessments for any years where we did not prepare your return(s)
If you would like us to submit the actual return on your behalf, please provide the information listed above.
